One UFO gives 1,000 to 3,000 (more for eggs worth more), and smashing every capsule inside a Rare UFO gives about 4,000 to 5,000. Paranoid Pete trades 500 for 1 Alien Mutation, and your count shows above your speed. Debris stays on the ground after the day changes, so you can go back and grab Debris that you have not picked up.
